We have been working hard up here at 1700 Sansom.  It has been incredible how everyone has pitched in.  Some of our awesome interns helping

sew buttons on because the garment center has been so busy, the garment center stepped it up a notch this week and I can’t believe how much they have gotten done, Caroline is getting all of our inventory organized and ready to merchandise the store, the guys downstairs are installing our lattice work fixtures this week, Kristen is reorganizing my mess of a contacts list in to something we can utilize (not so easy), Jessica and Stephanie G are doing all sorts of

crazy marketing odds and ends and Julia’s on to Van Aken custom holiday marketing collateral, Katya is wrapping up our last fall delivery, working on intermediates and then on to spring… and that is just to name a few things…

As for me, I am planning out the year at S.V.A. Holdings and SA VA so we can get on a production-merchandising-marketing schedule and so many other things I can’t even think about it.

But, one of the most fun things that happened this week was our think-tank on SA VA store promotions.  In working out the schedule of promotions, I realized that there are a lot of weeks in the year to create a fun, fresh

promotion for so I took it to the group.  On Wednesday, at noon I gathered the girls and we all had three hours to come up with 2 inventive promo ideas for the store that would be a great fit with SA VA and for  our customers.   I couldn’t be more excited about looking at

the next year and all of the fun ways we can make shopping fun and more affordable.

Some of the things that we came up with were: a lottery to design the perfect ‘classic’ garment, local design t-shirt graphic raffle;  Public Transportation User discount; re-use your SA VA shopping bag and your name goes in a raffle to win a garment or accessory ; One for you, One for me if you buy a gift card you get an accessory for yourself;   AND two of my personal favorites are: Scavenger Hunt and Surprise garment in the fitting room – are you daring enough to try it on to get a discount….  and this is just a few to look forward to!
