‘I think I can, I think I can, I think I can’ make it through this last stretch of winter. It can’t possibly keep snowing forever, can it? To say the least, February is a challenge. Beside the snowstorms and all their oppression, it was Valentine’s day last week. And we all know it is just another Hallmark holiday right? But, that doesn’t exactly make it easier to swallow when you are single or in some
ambiguous period. Of course, with the slushy streets and cold weather I am down to the basics and keep repeating the same series of looks all based on what works with my wellies. When I get like this, when ‘it’ gets like this, there is only one thing that I can do to make myself feel better and get through the last stretch. I buy (well, in my case make) a spring piece (or two), and I hang it on the outside of my closet and covet it until that first day it is warm enough to wear it. Like a dressing vacation, it is booked, you can plan around it and you know it is soon to come!
This printed silk dress is for sure one of the pieces that I am coveting that we just got in the store this week. I am also dyeing for this gorgeous ethnic print dress, we have just made a production sample of that will be in the store next week. These, will be the two pieces that I hang on the outside of my closet. How about you?
